Chinese state television announced today, Sunday, that 14 people have died due to a landslide in Sichuan province, Southwestern China, with five others still missing. The report indicated that over 180 rescue workers have been dispatched to the accident site, emphasizing that "search and rescue operations are still ongoing." The landslide occurred around six o'clock (22:00 GMT) in a mountainous area near the city of Leshan in the southern part of the province.
