Late rapper and star Tupac Shakur received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where his sister and colleagues spoke about his musical legacy around the world. His sister Sekyiwa Shakur, amidst a crowd of about 100 people, stated, "Tupac always knew he had a greater purpose. And as his little sister, I had the honor of watching this greatness unfold." She added, "From the moment he first stepped on stage at the Apollo Theater at the age of thirteen, long before anyone knew his name, he knew he had a dream of getting a star here on the Walk of Fame." Shakur was killed in 1996 at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, a case that remains unsolved.
