Ukraine Announces Territory Recovery in Counteroffensive

Ukrainian Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov announced today, Thursday, the restoration of control over an area exceeding 100 square kilometers in its counteroffensive against Russian forces. He expressed "readiness to continue fighting to liberate Ukrainian territories by its troops" and confirmed that "in the initial stages of the offensive, which Ukraine stated began last week, seven settlements were liberated in Donetsk in the east of the country and in Zaporizhzhia in the south." Military officials stated that "the army advanced by up to three kilometers near the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia sector, and by up to seven kilometers near the village of Velyka Novosilka in the southern Donetsk sector."
