The Élysée Palace announced in a statement today, Friday, that the Algerian ambassador to France will return to Paris in the coming days. The Élysée stated that Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune informed French President Emmanuel Macron during a phone conversation that the ambassador would be returning. Algeria had recalled its ambassador from Paris in February, accusing France of orchestrating the escape of an activist they wanted to arrest, which prompted a new crisis between the two countries.
