Dolphin Deaths on a Beach in New Jersey

A marine animal rescue group reported that eight dolphins died after becoming stranded on a beach in New Jersey. The deceased animals were transferred to a government lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of their stranding. The incident was recorded on Tuesday by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, a non-profit organization based in Brigantine, New Jersey, that rescues and rehabilitates dolphins, whales, and other marine mammals that strand on the beach. The center stated that the dolphins stranded on the beach in Sea Isle City, located about 50 kilometers south of Atlantic City, but the cause of their stranding remains unclear. All eight dolphins were taken to the lab for examination.
