This took place in an area where basketball fans were celebrating the Denver Nuggets' victory as the champions of the NBA. The police stated that the incident happened about a mile away from Ball Arena, where the Denver Nuggets defeated their rival, the Miami Heat, in the fifth game of a best-of-seven series (thus the final score was 4-1), crowning them champions of the NBA for the first time in their history. The statement explained that police were able to apprehend the perpetrator, who is currently under investigation, according to Bloomberg.
