After Wagner Mutiny, Russia Increases Military Salaries

A decree issued by the Russian government shows that it will increase the salaries of Russian military personnel by 10.5% starting from October 1st. This comes just days after the failed armed mutiny by the Wagner private military group, during which the group briefly seized the city of Rostov in southern Russia while heading towards Moscow. Its leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, described the move as a protest against the incompetence and corruption of senior Russian officials.
