Amazon has confirmed that it is "enhancing its delivery network post-COVID-19 by increasing delivery speeds, reducing costs, and lowering the company's carbon emissions." The company mentioned on Saturday that it has "reduced the time required for delivery and restructured its inventory management system, as well as search capabilities to showcase items closest to customers," which has resulted in products reaching fewer contact points by 12% before delivery.
As consumer demand slows, Amazon and other online retail companies have made efforts to reduce home delivery and return costs.
