Saudi Arabia announced the thwarting of attempts to smuggle a quantity of "shabu" and Captagon pills through land and air ports in the kingdom. Saudi authorities were able to find over 19,000 Captagon pills hidden in a package sent to the kingdom via express delivery at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, according to the "General Authority of Zakat and Tax."
In a related context, the Zakat and Tax Authority posted a video showing the foiling of two attempts to smuggle 106 kilograms of "shabu" through the Al-Batha and Al-Haditha land crossings.
In the first attempt, a vehicle entered Saudi Arabia through the Al-Batha crossing and was subjected to customs procedures and security checks, revealing 83.2 kilograms of "shabu" hidden in pieces of "marble stone."
In the second attempt, a truck arriving in Saudi Arabia through the Al-Haditha crossing underwent customs procedures, during which 23.8 kilograms of "shabu" were found hidden in the spare tire of the truck.
After completing the seizure operation, two individuals receiving the confiscated items inside Saudi Arabia were arrested in coordination with the General Directorate for Drug Control.
