US Military: 23 of Our Soldiers in Syria Suffer from Brain Injuries

The US Central Command, which oversees American forces in the Middle East, indicated that "23 American soldiers in Syria sustained brain injuries during two attacks last March perpetrated by Iranian-backed militants." It confirmed in a statement that "we have recorded 11 new cases of mild brain injuries from the attacks on March 23 and 24 in eastern Syria. Of those injured, 23 have been diagnosed with mild brain injuries. Our medical teams continue to examine and assess our soldiers for any signs of injury from these impacts."

Estimates from the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) revealed that "8 militants were killed during US retaliatory airstrikes on two facilities linked to Iran in Syria."
