The Russian news agency TASS reported today that Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov stated that "Russia has begun shipping crude oil to Africa for the first time this year and has increased its sales of petroleum products to the continent by more than three times from January to May." Shulginov mentioned that "Russia has shipped 200,000 tons of crude oil to Africa so far, along with about eight million tons of petroleum products." Additionally, TASS quoted Shulginov saying that "Gazprom," the largest natural gas producer in Russia, intends to start hydrocarbon production at the Honey project in Algeria in 2026.
