Petrochemical Complex for Sonatrach in Algeria

Reuters reported that a subsidiary of Algeria's Sonatrach has signed an agreement with British and Chinese companies to establish a petrochemical complex in the city of Oran. The Algerian news agency stated today, Sunday, that the subsidiary "Step Polymers" signed the agreement, and the planned complex is set to produce 550,000 tons of polypropylene annually, with completion expected within 42 months. The deal was signed by "Step Polymers," the British company "Petrofac," and the Chinese company "HQC."
