Chinese customs data showed that China's exports fell by 12.4% in June year-on-year, while imports declined by 6.8%, marking the worst performance for exports from the world's second-largest economy in three years. A survey conducted by Reuters among economists had predicted a 9.5% drop in exports and a 4% decrease in imports.
