The CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, expressed his skepticism today, Tuesday, about the aviation industry's ability to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. He attributed this to the insufficient availability of sustainable aviation fuel and the immaturity of alternative hydrogen technologies. Speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum organized by Bloomberg, he stated: "I don't believe we will be able to achieve the net zero emissions target by 2050. Everyone talks about it, but let's be realistic."
