The U.S. Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, Brian Nelson, warned European countries about Russia's efforts to acquire goods that are subject to sanctions. Nelson will visit Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany next week, where he will meet with government officials and visit financial institutions and other companies. During these visits, the Treasury will alert about Russia's deceptive methods to procure goods from around ten categories, including electronic components, optical instruments, and manufacturing equipment. This follows a visit by Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, Elizabeth Rosenberg, to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan next week.
