Turkish Lira Compensates Some of Its Losses

The Turkish lira fell by 0.8% to a new low today, Thursday, continuing the sharp losses it suffered in the previous session, which economists described as an indicator that Ankara is easing state control over the exchange market. However, the Turkish currency recovered some of its losses, trading at 23.33 against the dollar after reaching 23.39 overnight. In the previous session, the lira experienced its largest decline since the historic collapse in 2021.
