The French newspaper "Le Figaro" reported, citing a source, that unidentified individuals attempted to break into the "Fresnes" prison in France to free inmates. According to the report, the escape attempt occurred last night amid widespread unrest throughout France, particularly in the Paris area. Initially, dozens of people targeted the building with fireworks. After several minutes, masked individuals dressed in black tried to storm the prison center to release the inmates, prompting the dispatch of a RAID unit, an elite unit of the national police, to the scene. Rioting erupted across much of France yesterday following the death of a 17-year-old at the hands of a police officer.
