Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated today that "annual inflation will begin to decrease starting from mid-2024, due to the positive impact of the country's monetary policy stance." Şimşek added in a statement: "We will support the process of reducing inflation through fiscal discipline. Our primary goal is to reduce inflation permanently to single digits in the medium term."
