Spain: Police Free Moroccan Girl

Spanish police in Valladolid managed to free a Moroccan citizen who had been kidnapped and held for a month by a person on a livestock farm, forcing her to work in inhumane conditions. Spanish media reported, citing the police, that "the kidnapper forced the Moroccan woman to work in inhumane and irregular conditions on his farm, and assaulted her multiple times." They noted that "the discovery of this serious kidnapping operation occurred after the department dealing with victims of human trafficking received an email from a relative of the victim, who resides in Morocco." The police were able to liberate the detainee hours after receiving the notification and transferred her to receive medical care, while the suspect was arrested for committing unlawful detention, sexual assault, and crimes against labor rights.
