Former Beatles member Paul McCartney revealed that the last song of the famous band featuring John Lennon’s voice will be released this year thanks to the use of artificial intelligence. In an interview with BBC Radio 4 aired today, McCartney did not mention the name of the song but stated that the technology was used on "an initial work done by John that we completed." The 80-year-old singer and songwriter added, "So when we came to do what will be the last recording for The Beatles... we were able to take John’s voice and purify it through this artificial intelligence, allowing us then to mix the recording." He added, "We just finished it, and it will be released this year." The BBC explained in an online article that the song is likely to be "Now and Then," which Lennon recorded as a demo in 1978, two years before his death in 1980. McCartney noted that director Peter Jackson used the technology in the 2021 documentary series "The Beatles: Get Back," which features footage of the band, famously known as The Fab Four, preparing for their album "Let It Be" in 1970. McCartney said, "He was able to extract John’s voice from a tiny tape."
