The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, announced today, Monday, that Iran has extended an invitation to Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to visit Tehran. This invitation follows an agreement reached between the two countries, mediated by China in March, to end years of hostility. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi sent the invitation to the Saudi monarch in response to an invitation he received from Riyadh.
