The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today, Wednesday, that "Beijing does not accept or recognize the ruling of the arbitration court regarding the South China Sea, particularly concerning the Philippines, and will not listen to any demands or respond to any actions based on the ruling." Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a press conference: "The ruling constitutes a violation of the principle of state consent and exceeds its authority in considering the case. It is illegal."
