Mali Government: Death of Interim President's Chief of Staff in Ambush

The Mali government announced today, Thursday, that the chief of staff to the interim president, Omar Traore, and three other individuals were killed in an ambush. In a statement, it noted that the ambush occurred in the rural area of Nara in the Koulikoro region in the southwestern part of the country, without providing details about the timing of the attack or the responsible party. It also mentioned that another person, a driver traveling with the delegation, is still missing.
