Is There a Diesel Crisis in Mountainous Areas?

George Brax, a member of the Syndicate of Station Owners, confirmed that "there will be a slight increase in fuel prices because everything is related to the exchange rate of the dollar." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," he pointed out that "the decision to lower fuel prices is not in the hands of station owners but in the hands of the Minister of Energy, and we always have issues with the Ministry of Energy." He noted that "the exchange rate is not the only factor affecting the rise in fuel prices; global oil prices also play a role." Brax observed that "the only solution is for the Ministry of Energy to issue prices in dollars, which does not mean that Lebanese people should think that the cost will be higher for them." He added, "Diesel is currently available, but at the beginning of winter, demand for it will naturally increase for heating, which will create a slight crisis in some mountainous areas."
