Frontska: The Presidential Vacuum Undermines Democracy

The UN Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, tweeted: "Another inconclusive presidential election session today in the Parliament. Lebanon's leaders and parliament members need to take urgent steps to ensure the election of a president for the benefit of their country and its people. The prolonged vacuum undermines democratic practices in Lebanon and further delays the necessary reforms and solutions that have long been awaited to lead the country back to a recovery path."
