A source in the Kazakh government confirmed to Reuters that "Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the country today to attend several regional meetings." Putin is scheduled to participate in the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) today, alongside several Asian leaders, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It is expected that Putin will hold bilateral meetings with Erdoğan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
