On Friday morning, 16 people died due to a traffic accident on the Homs-Tadmur road near the junction of Al-Jamiliya village in the eastern Homs countryside. The bodies were transferred to hospitals in Homs, and the traces of the accident were cleared. A civil defense official in Homs stated that "the operations room received a distress call about people trapped in two vehicles following a collision near the junction of Al-Jamiliya village." Rescue teams immediately headed to the location.
