The UAE-based G42 Group, specializing in artificial intelligence, and Mubadala Investment Company in Abu Dhabi announced in a joint statement today, Monday, the merger of their assets in the healthcare sector into a new company named M42. The statement noted that "M42 will focus on leveraging expansion opportunities and establishing partnerships with leading global institutions in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and medical technology industries to enhance healthcare services for communities around the world." M42 will be led by Group CEO and Managing Director Hassan Jassim Al Nuwais and will have a substantial portfolio that includes the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Danat Al Emarat Hospital, and HealthPoint Hospital.
