Jordan confirmed its ongoing support for Lebanon during its crisis during the visit of Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib to Amman. Jordan is committed to assisting Lebanon by providing 100 megawatts of electricity as soon as the World Bank approves. After the meeting between Bou Habib and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, the latter, under the directives of King Abdullah II, reaffirmed Jordan's support for Lebanon in all areas, particularly regarding the ongoing Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. He emphasized the necessity of finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis and the issue of Syrian displacement. The two parties discussed efforts to resolve regional crises, especially the Palestinian issue and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's role in providing necessary protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
