Chinese Central Television reported today, Saturday, that travel activity increased by 151.8% on the first day of the five-day Labor Day holiday compared to the same day last year. The official television noted that the number of air and ground trips, as well as through waterways and railways, rose to 56.99 million on the first day of the holiday. Nearly all tickets for entry to some popular tourist sites are sold out during the holiday, with no tickets remaining for visiting the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China in Beijing on May 1st and 2nd. Additionally, Chinese National Radio announced that tickets for the Disney park in Shanghai are sold out until Tuesday, and tickets for the Universal Resort in Beijing are also sold out.
