France Wants "Tesla" to Build a Giant Factory on Its Soil

On Wednesday, CNBC reported that French Digital Transition Minister Jean-Noel Barrot stated that his country wants Tesla, led by Elon Musk, to build its next giant factory on French territory. Barrot said, "It would be great for Tesla to build a factory in France. We have put in a lot of effort and energy to make that possible. We have also invested in an entire sector dedicated to electric car batteries and will try to convince Musk that France is the best place in Europe to establish the next Tesla factory." Musk expressed confidence that Tesla will make significant investments in France in the future, but he did not specify a timeline for this.
