The British Foreign Office indicated today, Monday, that it has "proposed legislation that will allow it to continue sanctions imposed on Russia until Moscow pays compensation to Ukraine." British Foreign Minister James Cleverly stated: "As Ukraine continues to defend itself against the Russian attack, the horrific impacts of President Vladimir Putin's war are evident. Ukraine's reconstruction needs are immense and will remain so." He added: "Through our new measures today, we are strengthening the UK's sanctions approach and affirming that London is ready to use sanctions to ensure that Russia bears the cost of repairing the country it has recklessly attacked."
