The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met today, Monday, with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mikdad on the sidelines of the second ministerial meeting between member states of the Arab League and small island developing states in the Pacific.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Syrian situation and the region, exchanging views on topics of mutual interest.
As part of his visit to Saudi Arabia, Minister Mikdad and his accompanying delegation visited the Syrian embassy in Riyadh to assess the readiness of the building and the preparations underway for the reopening of the embassy, particularly regarding the resumption of consular services for the Syrian community in Saudi Arabia as soon as possible.
