Mother Killed and Body Hidden in Suitcase

An American woman confessed to killing her mother during their vacation in Bali and hiding the body inside a suitcase, motivated by a desire to access a $1.5 million trust fund. Heid's crime occurred as she covered her mother’s mouth in a hotel room while her boyfriend, Tommy Shaffer, struck her with a fruit bowl. Investigations revealed that Heid and her boyfriend killed the mother, placed the body in a suitcase, and attempted to transport it in an Indonesian car. According to the British newspaper "The Guardian," the victim's family expressed relief following the daughter's admission of her crime, stating: "We will remain the voice of our sister Sheila throughout the sentencing process to ensure true justice is served."
