The Swedish Tennis Federation announced today, Monday, that the team captain, Robin Soderling, has stepped down from his position for health reasons. Former captain Jonas Bjorkman will temporarily take over the role. Swedish Federation Secretary General Krister Sjö said, "With his extensive experience and great dedication, Soderling has done a fantastic job, and we hope to see him play a new role in Swedish tennis in the future." The draw has placed the seven-time champion Swedish team in Group A of the group stage for the 2023 Davis Cup Finals alongside Canada, the defending champion, Italy, and Chile. They will compete in Poland from September 12 to 17.
