Former Netherlands striker Patrick Kluivert has taken over as the coach of Turkish team Adana Demirspor, which announced the signing of a two-year contract yesterday, Friday. Kluivert (46 years old) previously coached Curacao and was part of the coaching staff of the Netherlands under Louis van Gaal from 2012 to 2014.
Kluivert had notable success as a player, winning the UEFA Champions League with Ajax Amsterdam in 1995 and the Spanish league with Barcelona in 1999, before retiring from playing in 2008. Adana finished fourth in the league last season.
