Former MP Ali Darwish pointed out that "the doors to forming a government are closed and very difficult, but not impossible. There is a challenge in making any breakthrough in the remaining time, as the outlook is blocked." In his statement regarding those betting on the formation in the next 48 hours, Darwish told the electronic newspaper "An-Nabaa": "If Friday passes without the government seeing the light, it becomes impossible to form it on Saturday, especially since President Michel Aoun will leave Baabda on Sunday." He reiterated that the designated Prime Minister Najib Mikati has worked hard since June 29, when he submitted a draft of the government formation to President Aoun, and so far has not received a response, remaining open to all proposals at that time. Just a few days remain until President Aoun's term ends; will the last hours witness a miracle that leads to the birth of a government, or has it indeed become a thing of the past?
