The branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Kamchatka region reported on Sunday that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter scale occurred near the coast of the region. According to a statement issued by the service, the earthquake occurred 199 kilometers away from the village of Milkovo. The statement added that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 53 kilometers. There is currently no information about casualties or damage caused by the earthquake.
