The former President of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Abdel Wahid Radi, passed away in Paris at the age of 88. The second government channel reported that "Radi was a leading figure and founding member of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, a former minister, and a former president of the House of Representatives." Radi was born in the city of Salé (near the capital Rabat) in 1935, where he completed his primary education before joining Sorbonne University in Paris for his university studies. He is considered one of the founders of the National Union of Popular Forces in 1959, which later changed its name to the Socialist Union of Popular Forces. He held several positions both within the country and abroad, including the Ministry of Justice from 2007 to 2010 and the presidency of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
