New Technology from Google Saves Millions of Lives

Google announced during its annual conference held in India that it has developed a new technology that will be beneficial to millions of people worldwide. The company indicated that its experts have created a new tool that will help read illegible handwritten prescriptions, making it easier for pharmacists to understand the content of these prescriptions and enabling ordinary people to recognize their contents as well.

The feature will work with the existing Google Lens technology on smartphones. With it, users will be able to take a photo of a prescription or view a picture of a prescription from their device's photo library. Subsequently, the names of the medications mentioned in the prescription or medical report will be displayed.

Developers of the new technology clarified that it will assist in digitizing handwritten prescriptions or medical reports. However, pharmacists or doctors should not make medication decisions for patients based solely on the new feature's data without thoroughly examining the prescriptions as well. According to Google, the new technology will be capable of handling multiple languages currently used in India, and it will also incorporate many global languages in the future.
