Wall Street Closes with Sharp Rise

Wall Street closed sharply higher on Thursday following progress in the debt ceiling talks in the United States. NVIDIA's stock surged to a record level after the world's most valuable chipmaker projected its quarterly revenues to grow by more than 50% from estimates. According to preliminary data, the S&P 500 index rose by 0.88%. The Nasdaq composite index increased by 1.71%. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones industrial average fell by 0.10% at the close.
