The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that "one person was killed after two trains derailed at a railroad crossing near US 84." The incident was reported around 10:45 AM local time, and the driver, Brent Michael Spahich (25 years old), died while being transported to the hospital. According to the Department of Public Safety, 5 cars derailed.
