A source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that "Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan urged Denmark on Saturday to take urgent measures to prevent the burning of Qurans." Fidan condemned the "ongoing despicable attacks on the Quran" during a phone call with Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
