Spanish Prime Minister Absent from G20 Summit Due to COVID

The Spanish government announced today, Thursday, that interim Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will miss the G20 summit in New Delhi after testing positive for the coronavirus. The government added in a statement that Economy Minister Nadia Calviño and Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares will represent Madrid at the summit, which is set to begin on September 9.
