Security and Military Situations Between Mikati and the Army Commander

Interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati received Army Commander General Joseph Aoun this Thursday afternoon at the governmental palace, where they discussed security conditions and matters related to the military institution. It is worth noting that Mikati signed, on Wednesday, the decrees related to the promotions of officers in the army, Internal Security Forces, General Security, and State Security, from the rank of Colonel to the rank of Brigadier General, in addition to the decrees regarding the promotion schedule and the promotion decrees for the year 2023 for all ranks across all security forces that were submitted to the General Directorate of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
