Abu Dhabi institutions have identified investment opportunities in South Korea amounting to approximately $2 billion, following an agreement between the two sides to expand trade relations last January. The UAE had pledged, during South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's visit to Abu Dhabi, to inject investments reaching $30 billion into the Asian country across sectors including energy and information technology. A statement from the Korea Development Bank and Mubadala Investment Company noted that "so far, Abu Dhabi institutions have helped identify potential investment opportunities in Korea worth nearly $2 billion." The statement did not elaborate on the specifics of the potential investments.
