Taiwan's Ministry of Defense confirmed that "Chinese air and naval forces conducted extensive maneuvers involving fighter jets, bombers, and warships to the south and southwest of the island on Tuesday, as Beijing continues its military pressure on Taipei." The ministry reported that in the past 24 hours, 32 aircraft belonging to the Chinese air force were detected entering Taiwan's air defense zone, including fighters, helicopters, and early warning aircraft among others. Among these aircraft were 4 H-6 bombers capable of carrying nuclear warheads that flew to the south of Taiwan and over the Pacific Ocean before returning to China, according to a map published by the ministry.
