After the Earthquake... Tsunami?

There have been many questions about the possibility of a tsunami following the terrifying earthquake that struck Turkey and the tremors experienced in Lebanon. In this context, the Director of the National Center for Geophysics, Marlene Brax, revealed that "after the large tremor, we will witness aftershocks for a long time, which will weaken over time, and there is no danger of a tsunami, so citizens can return to their homes." She noted in a call with MTV that "the duration of the tremor and aftershocks affects buildings, and we and Turkey are on the same fault line, so additional activity is expected in the coming hours." Brax explained that "more than 30 aftershocks have been recorded after the major earthquake, and any tremor stronger than 5 degrees that hits Lebanon could cause damage."
