Victory of the Current Uzbek President in Elections with 87%

The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan announced that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev won the early presidential elections with 87.05% of the votes, according to preliminary results. The voter turnout was 79.8%, and the electoral race included four candidates: the current president from the "Liberal Democratic" party, Ulughbek Anayitov from the "People's Democratic" party, Rabakhan Mahmudova from the "Democratic Justice" party, and Abd Shukur Hamzaev from the "Uzbek Environment" party. It is worth noting that these elections were the first of their kind since the constitutional amendment that extended the presidential term from 5 to 7 years.
