Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Praise Cooperation Within OPEC+

The Kremlin reported today, Wednesday, that "Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised their cooperation within the OPEC+ alliance during a telephone conversation." The Kremlin's statement noted that the two parties "discussed in detail the issue of ensuring stability in global energy markets, which has allowed for effective and timely steps to maintain a balance between oil supply and demand." The statement emphasized "the importance of the agreements reached by the alliance in its meeting this week, under which Saudi Arabia will significantly reduce its production in July, in addition to an agreement adopted by the alliance to cut supplies until 2024."
